B.B. King and Bobby Blue Bland- Medley

a while back i posted a song by a blues artist named t-bone walker. in that post i described how i’d never heard of him despite his having worked with several artists i was familiar with. i alluded to two gentlemen: bobby blue bland and b.b. king. i decided to share a performance of theirs with those of you who may not be familiar with them.

b.b. is famous enough. think most people have an idea of what he’s about. i’m not so sure about bobby. he was popularized a few back when someone used ‘ain’t no love in the heart of the city’ in a movie or a sample. i can’t remember which. he has a great voice and a great ear for music. it’s amazing, really. i’ve enjoyed virtually everything i’ve heard from him. i grew to like him because an uncle of mine used to play a blues mixtape (literally) someone made for him. bobby stood out because of the horrifying noise he makes when he’s singing. now that i’m older and a bit wiser, i know he’s just trying to hock up the blues. i’ll leave you with that. i hope you enjoy the interplay between these two blues giants.
