Little Boots vs. Opus III - Stuck on Repeat (Richard X Blend)
Palms Out Sounds is a music blog that had an interesting section entitled Remix Sunday. Pretty much, each Sunday they would offer a mixtape of remixes by DJ’s and producers. I know they’ve had an ongoing legal dispute with Google and the RIAA and as a result they’ve been out of commission since probably last October. It’s a shame because they were offering musicians the opportunity to showcase their remixes and get some exposure while offering those interested in music a free download of multiple remixes. I don’t see the harm in that but the RIAA is acting as if we are ruled under Draconian laws, penalizing music lovers and infringing on our privacy to ridiculous extents.
This song is from Remix Sunday 130. It’s is a nice little mash-up by Richard X Blend of Little Boots’ Stuck on Repeat and Opus III’s It’s a Fine Day. I haven’t been able to find out any information on Mr. X Blend but its a good blend. It sounds like he uses my man Fake Blood’s remix of Stuck on Repeat and had the ear and musical knowledge to blend it with the most random dance track of 1992. It comes together seamlessly and coalesces the two songs into one awesome track. Enjoy.
