One thing that many people don’t know about Selena as that spanish was not her first language. She grew up in Texas and only learned to sing in Spanish at her father’s insistance.
Como La Flor is a beautiful love song with the juxtapositon that the man Selena is singing to has found someone else. Its pretty much one of those “I love you so much I just want you to be happy even if its not with me and even though I don’t think I’ll ever love again” songs. I absolutely love it!
