Cee-lo Green- All Day Love Affair
a while back i praised cee-lo for his lyrical prowess on goodie mobb’s ‘i refuse limitation’. now, i am paying homage to his singing ability and his ability to create a wonderful melody. it also helps that i promised my cousin i’d post this. this is a quaint song about the joy one can find in simple pleasures, particularly those enjoyed with someone else. mr. green croons and schmoozes over laid-back production. i like the brass in this song. the horns are a really nice compliment to cee-lo’s singing voice and add a little something extra to the song. i like the sincerity i hear as well. who knows who he is singing to or about, but he sounds like he’s singing to someone there in the studio with him. i like that. it’s nice to believe that people believe in love and pleasant, mature relationships. so, (smooth radio voice) grab your honey close and say i love you and have a wonderful day. enjoy.
