this song stuck with me when i heard it. i really liked the lush string arrangements and the ease with which singer imogen heap sang over it. i enjoy the lyrics as well. it’s one of the more interesting relationship songs i’ve heard. fortunately, i’ve not been a situation where i was so intent on leaving someone, but i’ve seen it enough among friends of mine to identify with what’s being said. i really like the line, ‘if you know what was good for me, why would i be leaving you?’ i’m always saddened when something that seems so wonderful turns sour, sometimes to the point where the end is welcome and better for both parties. those are the breaks, though. sometimes you just have to walk away. here’s to being able to recognize that moment. enjoy.
