Bjork- Undo
i’ve said this before, but bjork is yet another artist i feel a special connection with. sometimes it feels she uses pieces of me to write her music. when i listen to her albums, then, i hear bits of myself played back in unexpected ways. i’ve wanted to post a video of hers, be it a live performance or one of her fantastic music videos, for some time but haven’t been able to decide which one. i narrowed my choices down to my favorite performance of ‘hyperballad’, the music video for ‘venus as a boy’, a live performance of the song ‘unravel’, and another for ‘pagan poetry’. as you can see, i chose neither. ‘undo’ is something of an unexpected choice. i haven’t listened to this song in a long time. in fact, if you’d asked me, i’d have said i hadn’t heard the song before. i listened to it expecting to learn it was a b-side of a single she released, not that it was the 4th song on an album i own. anyway, it was a stroke of good luck that lead me to it. i’m happy to share it with you all. here you have bjork, matmos, zeena parkins, the symphony from the london opera, and an innuit choir no less. although bjork makes a few mistakes here and there, i still think it all comes together beautifully. i hope you enjoy it.
