i’ve been listening to this song a lot lately. i’m sure i’ve listened to this song more than any other over the last week or so. an unfortunate consequence of that is i’ve been singing it just as often. i pity the people around me, and yet i admire them for their strength. no one has died or run away screaming despite how badly i mangle the high notes. i like this song, and i like singer laura groves’ voice. she reminds me of a cross between joanna newsom and martha wainwright. i hope you like it. perhaps we can sing the song together. enjoy.
