Talib Kweli feat. Norah Jones- Soon the New Day

originally i was just going to say how i liked norah jones’ singing in this song. she sounds likes she’s barely opening her mouth, hardly giving it any effort - but it sounds so good! as i listened deeper, i noticed a watery sounding part during the verses. i think it’s the bass with some kind of filter on it (?). so then i noticed how the keys during the verses also added to the underwater theme. like water droplets. when i incorporate the lyrical content, the water imagery and the smokey vocals i picture a sailor entering a jazz club at the port and trying to pick up the lounge singer. i know it’s a little late, but feel free to use that as a video idea talib.
