Muddy Waters- Got My Mojo Workin
i think this is the song that got me most interested in muddy waters. i have a different version of the song in my collection, but it has the same feel. one of the major differences in what i have and this one is muddy. he’s a lot less animated here. as i said, though, the song, no matter how he decided to play it, is great. now that i think about it, i like this one a little more because the harp player, james cotton, is out of control. the man is possessed. but yeat, i dig this. i like it because it’s funny, it’s up-tempo, it’s infectious, and it’s fun. i would have loved to be in the audience during this performance. since i couldn’t be there, maybe i’ll wear white socks to work tomorrow with my loafers as an homage to mr. cotton. get my mojo workin’. enjoy.
