England Dan & John Ford Coley - I’d Really Love To See You Tonight

When it comes to relationships, you can find songs to cover just about every aspect from beginning to end - seeing someone across the room to the our-relationship-is-the-shit phaseto the i hate you get outta my life portion. But very few songs cover the times when you think about someone you’re not with anymore and just wanna see how they’re doing. You don’t hate them and you don’t want to get back with them, but maybe you miss the friend they once were.

I love this song for  just that reason - it really sums up nicely that part of relationships that occurs as we get older. Fondly remembering someone who isn’t in our lives anymore and just wanting to catch up. Its a classy ass song that I hope you enjoy!

England Dan & John Ford Coley - I’d Really Love To See You Tonight

Hello, yeah, it’s been a while.
Not much, how ‘bout you?
I’m not sure why I called,
I guess I really just wanted to talk to you.
And I was thinking maybe later on,
We could get together for a while.
It’s been such a long time,
And I really do miss your smile.

I’m not talking ‘bout moving in,
And I don’t want to change your life.
But there’s a warm wind blowing,
The stars are out, and I’d really love to see you tonight.

We could go walking through a windy park,
Or take a drive along the beach.
Or stay at home and watch t.v.
You see, it really doesn’t matter much to me.

I’m not talking ‘bout moving in,
And I don’t want to change your life.
But there’s a warm wind blowing,
The stars are out, and I’d really love to see you tonight.

I won’t ask for promises,
So you won’t have to lie.
We’ve both played that game before,
Say I love you, then say goodbye.

I’m not talking ‘bout moving in,
And I don’t want to change your life.
But there’s a warm wind blowing,
The stars are out, and I’d really love to see you tonight
