This song always reminds me of family get togethers when I was a kid. All the grown ups would come over to play cards and/or dominoes…someone would break out the record player and before you knew it someone had had too much to drink and was cussing out their husband. And someone else had fallen on their ass in the front yard unnoticed because everyone else was dancing or trying to break up the marital spat.
What were you expecting? A Family Matters moment? I’m from South Central my peoples. While I am nice and booshie now as an adult, those get togethers were still lots of fun. My favorite part of course was listening to all of the old records that came out - Teena Marie, Earth Wind and Fire, Rick James, Marvin Gaye. I could go on and on so I’ll just let ya’ll enjoy the music.
