Reflection Eternal - Talib Kweli
At work I try to make the time pass by listening to podcasts and audio books and music. At times it’s just white noise as I am designing, but then at times I’ll hear something that stands out. This song stood out to me first because I love Talib Kweli and what he has to say. Second because it had a good beat, and felt like I was in a movie and about to jump into or from out of an alley. And third, it made me laugh. In one part of the song he says “The artificial die like yellow #5.” I laughed out loud forgetting that I was in cubicle nation and that people were around me wondering why was this girl laughing out loud to herself. It was clever to me, and I had to share with the masses. I already realized that this is a classic, and I’m really new with everything so it’s like opening up a new box of goodies.
