Jose James - The Dreamer

Some days I have absolutely no clue what I want to post.  I have amassed a long list of songs for days like this, but unfortunately I can never seem to find anything on that list that fits my true feelings during the day.  When these days come I just start asking friends random questions and see if they are in a similar mood to me.  One friend was tired and one was cramping up.  Me, I’m feeling sick as hell.  I just got back from cold ass vegas, philly, and ny.  So i currently have a bunch of pills in my system, suffering from a lack of sleep, and wore myself out yelling at the tv during the Eagles game.  Thinking about all of this led me to post Jose James first single “The Dreamer.”  I do not pride myself in knowing a whole lot about jazz music.  I have a couple of albums that I love, but I haven’t fully dug into the genre.  One thing I do know is that I absolutely hate smooth jazz.  It sounds like elevator music to me and seems completely soulless.  Jose James is none of that.  He is a hell of a vocalist and the whole album is just relaxing and smooth with soul.  This type of album is the type that you can just lay bundled up with some hot chocolate before you go to sleep.  Enjoy.
