Kano - I’m Ready
here’s another song like vitamin c that is a breakdancing classic, but not everyone knows exactly what it is. i went to a comedy show a couple months back and they had a “what’s that song” contest. when they played ‘i’m ready’ everyone went wild, but i was the only person that actually knew the name of the song. so for all of you that did not know this is kano’s ‘i’m ready.’ kano is an italo-disco group. italo disco is known for its space and futuristic sound using many different synthesizers, drum machines, and vocoders. this song immediately makes me want to pop lock and do the robot… even though i suck. it’s funky as hell and is a dance music classic.
one of my other favorites from kano is the song ‘ahjia.’ definitely grab the greatest hits album it’s dope. oh yea tag team sampled this song for ‘whoomp there it is’…. so you gotta love it
