Muhsinah- Millions
i discovered muhsinah when i listened to the recent foreign exchange album. many of you may recall i posted a song on which she featured a while back. if you haven’t heard it, i suggest you check it out. enter ‘daykeeper’ or ‘exchange’ into the search bar on the left side of the screen, and you should find it. i was further prompted to listen to her music after i saw her perform with the exchange a few weeks ago. her performance wasn’t all that great, frankly, but her voice stood out among all the others on stage. she has such a sweet, melodic voice. so despite her lack of stage presence (she seemed shy and reticent to be on stage), she helped make the show great.
when i got home, i looked her up. this song was the first of several i listened to. i was excited by what i heard. i still get excited each time i hear this song. she has a few others i like as well, including a cover of radiohead’s song ‘scatterbrain.’ check out her myspace and the blog she does on youtube. she strikes me as a delightful and kind person. don’t be afraid to say hi. it looks like she writes back to many of her viewers. enjoy.
