Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes
Halle Barry making out with Fred Durst? Someone PUH-LEEZE tell me what is wrong with that picture?
Behind Blue Eyes is a song by The Who that Limp Bizkit covered in 2003. I came across it because it was featured as the theme song in the flick Gothika - a great flick if you havn’t already seen it. While I have never been a huge Bizkit fan (dude that wears the pale face paint and all black contacts creeps me out and Durst has an ego to boot) this song was a great showcase of what the group can do outside of their usual routine. It also doesn’t hurt that the video was pretty great, with a plot that features many of the same themes as Gothika. You can check out the music video here.
Hmmmm…I don’t know what else to say about the song. Its pretty much a “you don’t know what I’m going through” type of song. Its a bit dark, I really like the vocals in it as well as the break that has some speech over it. The guy that sounds like a tv announcer over it is pretty cool and unexpected. Enjoy!

Limp Bizkit - Behind Blue Eyes
No one knows what it’s like
To be the bad man
To be the sad man
Behind blue eyes
And no one knows
What it’s like to be hated
To be fated to telling only lies
[Chorus]
But my dreams they aren’t as empty
As my conscience seems to be
I have hours, only lonely
My love is vengeance
That’s never free
No one knows what its like
To feel these feelings
Like i do, and i blame you!
No one bites back as hard
On their anger
None of my pain and woe
Can show through
[Chorus]
Discover l.i.m.p. say it [4x]
No one knows what its like
To be mistreated, to be defeated
Behind blue eyes
No one knows how to say
That they’re sorry and don’t worry
I’m not telling lies
[Chorus]
No one knows what its like
To be the bad man, to be the sad man
Behind blue eyes.
