Luis Bacalov - The Grand Duel
Hello my peoples. I feel like I have been away from this lovely website for far too long, but alas, the real world won’t leave me alone. Between work, school, and a dog with an affinity for consuming chocolate (and then becoming violently sick) I have just not had much time to sit and post anything the last few days. Thus a quick post that is as much for you all as it is for me.
Kill Bill - one of the greatest movies EVER. I know every line in the first film including those spoken in Japanese. And no, I do not speak it otherwise. I’ve just heard the lines so many times that the words pop out of my mouth when I’m watching the film. One of the best features of the film is its wonderfully delightful soundtrack that was put together by none other then…you guessed it…the Wu Tang’s RZA. Kinda random I know, but Quentin Tarentino knew that he had an affinity for all things kung fu and sought him out early on. This soundtrack has music that does exactly what its supposed - enhance the emotion of the movie and take you back to a scene whenever you hear it thereafter.
This track was composed by an Argentinian composer that is famous for doing scores for classic spaghetti westerns. When I hear this song it always takes me back to that wonderful place of gore and anger that I love so much. Enjoy!
