Sometimes I feel like I’m behind on life. And by that I simply mean that sometimes I get so caught up on work I get behind on all the fun things I like to do….like posting on Daily Crack, reading Savage Love, and watching the latest episodes of House & SVU.
So in the spirit of rewinding, I’m posting the jump off track that originally got me hooked on the Black Eyed Peas. Not the first song I heard, but the first song that I had to listen to over and over.
Before the days of Fergie, before the days of allegedly selling out (the hip hop heads know what I’m talking about), before the days of name recognition there were three dudes chillaxing in LA putting it down. Well…two dudes if you take it back to the 90s. Anywho…this is not to say I dislike “sellout” BEP - they’re still hype in my book. But it definitely isn’t the hip hop of yesteryear. They still got their own vibe, but its a little tamed down for that crossover appeal.
