The Civil Wars- Disarm (Smashing Pumpkins cover)
i’ve listened to so much terrible music today, i feel greatly relieved to have come across this. cleanses the palate.

youtuber jasmine2leann covers frank ocean’s ‘thinking about you.’ she messes up a little bit here and now, but i still like it.

Demae Wodu- Rolling in the Deep (Adele cover)
i have no idea if demae wodu is a professional musician or not, but i really dig this cover. i also like her cover of little dragon’s ‘scribbled paper.’ check her out and see what you think.

The String Quartet- Change (In the House of Flies) (cover)
i found out about them because of the tool covers. i think they did some bjork stuff too. i thought about posting a song by one of those artists, but chose to listen to some other covers as well. i stumbled onto this one and, voila! here it is.

Robyn- Hyperballad
i’m still now sure how i feel about this. it’s funny, because i’m still not sure how i feel about robyn. i like her voice, but i’ve not found many songs i can connect with. they aren’t bad, many are quite good; i’ve actually posted one. it’s just…i don’t know. i can’t really get with them, even the songs i like. so it was nice to see her performing a song by one of my favorite artists. she does well covering a difficult song, but i have the same issue. i like it (obviously i’m posting it), but i don’t like it. i want to, though. you’re killin’ me, robyn. you’re killin’ me.

Stevie Ray Vaughan - Little Wing
this guy was born to play the guitar. simple as that. technically, he was a great guitarist. add in his passion and he becomes outstanding, legendary. i could have posted the recorded version for better sound quality, but come on. just watch this guy. he gets so into the music, so lost in his own world. it’s amazing to witness.
