a few weeks ago i posted links to some of our most popular tags to show our newer followers the range of music we’ve posted over the years. the issue is, because i’ve been posting solo for a while, many of the songs you saw were mine. today, i want to direct you to songs a few other contributors have posted. click the links below to hear some of their favorite songs. featured artists include amy winehouse, john frusciante, passion pit, wham!, and mf doom.

this could lead to some embarrassment. a long time ago i prepared a post to encourage people to wave at stachionut. stachionut is no longer with us, but stachio- is. now, i don’t know if stachio- is stachionut, but i’m going to pretend they are one and the same. so, everyone wave at stachio-! stachio- has been with us for a long time- in terms of followers, we’re talking among the graybeards. anyway, as always, we just want to express our appreciation. stachio-’s likes/reblogs include:

I just checked out your top songs for 2010 and loved it a lot. I'm writing to tell you that i think the song "Where Will You Be" is actually song by Khari Lemuel, Yaw is featured in the song, but I don't think the full credit goes to him.

hi! first, i’m happy you enjoyed the post. second, and more importantly, yaw was identified as the artist because he was listed as such on the album ‘giles peterson presents brownswood bubblers three.’ now, that doesn’t mean you aren’t correct. khari lemuel may indeed be the original artist. it’s something i’ll look into. in the meantime, everyone can click here to visit mr. lemuel’s myspace page.

good question. i’m sure you can download the songs somehow, but i can’t think of a way to do it offhand. besides, i hope you choose to support the artists. many of our posts provide links to the artists’ websites. you might be able to download songs there.
