this could lead to some embarrassment. a long time ago i prepared a post to encourage people to wave at stachionut. stachionut is no longer with us, but stachio- is. now, i don’t know if stachio- is stachionut, but i’m going to pretend they are one and the same. so, everyone wave at stachio-! stachio- has been with us for a long time- in terms of followers, we’re talking among the graybeards. anyway, as always, we just want to express our appreciation. stachio-’s likes/reblogs include:
Young Chris feat. Beanie & Freeway- Ready for War
   TV on the Radio- Playhouses
   James Pants- We’re Through
   Madcon- Beggin’
   A Fine Frenzy- Burrowed Time
so, thank you, stachio- (please be the same person! please be the same person!) for your support!

so, daily-crackens, how about this? why don’t you submit posts? we said before that you could send us songs or recommend artists, and you still can. i think that would be most appropriate for those of you who want our opinion on something. but if you really dig a song or artist and have something to say, submit it to us at http://dailycrack.net/submit. no one has really given much thought to this, but here are some seat-of-the-pants requirements:
post only songs, music videos, or interviews of/documentaries about musicians
if you want to do an audio post, i guess you can email the photo you want to use, the accompanying text, and the song you want posted to dailycrack101 at gmail dot com- yeah, do that
format your posts as we do ours (write some text, sign your name, that whole deal)
don’t go crazy- i’m sure some of you think ‘skinny miracle sucks! i could do better than him!’ or ‘jfk?? wasn’t he killed because he had horrible taste in music??’ that might make you want to prove your worth. well, don’t go too crazy and overload us. that too much to ask?
try not to submit stuff that’s been posted
only submit awesome stuff
i hope a few of you will try it so we can see how it goes. maybe we’ll only post what we like? maybe everything will go up? don’t know yet. just send stuff. we’ll figure out the rest later.

today seems a good day to say hello and thank you to another follower. this time it’s pearlsbeforeswine! as usual, i hope you all will take time to visit her blog. if you do decide to wave at her, i hope you’ll share your condolences. you see, she obstensibly is an arkansas fan, and we sports fans know what happened against ohio state. ‘twas sad to see them give that game away at the end.
anyway, pearlsbeforeswine’s likes/reblogs include:
kylie mingoue- come into my world   daryl hall- i can’t go for that   black eyed peas feat. macy gray- request line   madonna- justify my love   ella fitzgerald- from this moment on   kelis feat. andre 3000- millionaire
thank you again for following us!

8daysawk asked: Hey,

I just checked out your top songs for 2010 and loved it a lot. I'm writing to tell you that i think the song "Where Will You Be" is actually song by Khari Lemuel, Yaw is featured in the song, but I don't think the full credit goes to him.

peace.

hi! first, i’m happy you enjoyed the post. second, and more importantly, yaw was identified as the artist because he was listed as such on the album ‘giles peterson presents brownswood bubblers three.’ now, that doesn’t mean you aren’t correct. khari lemuel may indeed be the original artist. it’s something i’ll look into. in the meantime, everyone can click here to visit mr. lemuel’s myspace page.

kurtizthekid asked: I would like to have a song of mine featured on your website. Is there an email address I can send it to?

dailycrack101 at gmail.com. click here for a little more information. i trust you won’t do this, but if you spam our inbox with your (presumed) awesomeness, digital ninja assassins will be dispatched to destroy your internet with shurikens.

here’s yet another toast to a dc follower. this time i’d like to introduce you to gondorsky! if memory serves, gondorsky has been with us for a while now. so, gondorsky, we want to show our appreciation for your sticking with us. we like you newbies too. it’s just that there’s something special about the upperclassmen (think of it as a senior discount… … ok don’t because that makes no sense).
gondorsky’s likes/reblogs include:
U.G.K.- I Left it Wet for You
Rachel Yamagata- I Wish You Love
   K’Naan- The Beginning
Kings of Convenience- Summer on the Westhill
please check out gondorsky’s tumblr if you haven’t. wouldn’t hurt if you chose to follow as well. thanks again to gondorsky and all our other followers.

sittingontheringsofsaturn-deact asked: You've probably answered this before, but I'm a new follower. Is there a way to save an mp3 that is posted here? If so, how?

good question. i’m sure you can download the songs somehow, but i can’t think of a way to do it offhand. besides, i hope you choose to support the artists. many of our posts provide links to the artists’ websites. you might be able to download songs there.
