Adele- Rolling In The Deep

SNAP!

Ya’ll know how much I love Adele so as soon as I got this in my inbox 4 minutes ago I knew two things: 1 I would stop doing my work and listen (yes in my office) and 2 I was going to post it ass soon as I was done listening to the track.

Well let me just say that this track is awesome and I can’t wait for Adele’s new cd to come out and I’m glad that I could get this to DailyCrack with the quickness.

Enjoy!!!

Did I mention that the video doesn’t even premier until December 3rd! Yup - you got it here first (if you weren’t on Adele’s listserv that is)!!!

Lucy Pearl - Dance Tonight

Like all great artistic collaborations, Lucy Pearl was over before they started and left us all wanting more. Dance Tonight might be the only single that came out with original member and En Vogue diva Dawn Robinson in the picture. I’m pretty sure they tried to replace her but we see how that went.

Dance Tonight is a great easy listen and gave us a glimpse of what these guys coulda/woulda/shoulda done. All good tho - they’re still making music even if not together. Enjoy!

Alicia Keys - Wait Til You See My Smile

AKeys

I’ve seen Ms.Keys perform a few times and she never lets me down. I actually went to her latest concert without having purchased the CD yet but what can I say - funds were low and my record money was tight. Alas, when she sat at her piano and launched into this song I was immediately sucked in on the first listen.

It’s so good I’m gonna just shut up now and let you get to the song already. Enjoy!

The Deele- Two Occasions

for a long time, this was one of my favorite songs. babyface and the rest of the crew had a certified hit on their hands with this one. it stands up for me. i mean, it has a timelessness about it. i hope you all enjoy it.

MJ

Michael Jackson - I Wanna Be Where You Are

I could be in a marketplace in Timbuktoo with a million foreign sounds invading my ears and an MJ song - any MJ song - could come on and be instantly recognizable. Michael had that rare gift of a having a voice so distinct that even with literally hundreds of songs recorded anyone can pick him out of a line up.

My love for lil’ Mike has never waned and this has got to be one of my favorite songs. I mean…I say that all the tiem but it’s always true.  This song doesn’t waste anytime warming up. Mike dives right in and everytime I’m diving in with him. So let me tell you where it’s at…right here! Sit back and enjoy. I know I am.

Blackstreet - Don’t Leave

This song has been stuck in my head for a couple of weeks now.  I have random outbursts where i say to people “if.. you… take… your… love away from me, i’ll go crazy, crazy, crazy insane.”  This is from the great time period where there were still r&b groups and the groups actually new how to sing.  When teddy riley was rocking out on the vocoder and playing homage to the original roger troutman.  This song is the truth, can’t deny it at all.

P.S. the green screen in this video is almost worse then it on ichat.

Robin Thicke- Vengas Conmigo

this was my introduction to robin thicke. this and another song called ‘make a baby.’ i never heard more than those two songs, oh, and ‘when i get you alone,’ so you can imagine my surprise when i heard his more recent material. it seemed he’d not only changed his look, but he changed his sound, among other things. i don’t know enough about the thicke era to compare it to the robin thicke era beyond that. he still makes pretty good music, so who’s complaining? that’s why i picked this song, more than anything. i like it, and i think it’s cool to acknowledge that the guy’s been around a while and has done good work. enjoy.
