Easy Star All Stars - Karma Police

Easy Star All Stars have done 3 sacreligious albums that should have sucked; however they are great and add a different flavor.  So when listening forget about originals and treat it like truly classic material that can be reinterpreted.  Radiodread was there second album, which is a cover of Radiohead’s Ok Computer.  The other two were Dub Side of the Moon and Easy Star’s Lonely Heart Dub Band.  It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to post from these 3 albums because I have favorites on each, but I decided to post Karma Police.  My favorite part of the song is just hearing the lead singer say “for a minute there, i lost myself.”  He could do that for another 20 minutes and I would be a-ok.

Karma Police, arrest this man, he talks in maths
He buzzes like a fridge, he’s like a detuned radio
Karma Police, arrest this girl, her hitler hairdo, is making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party
This is what you get, this is what you get
This is what you get, when you mess with us
Karma Police, I’ve given all I can, it’s not enough
I’ve given all I can, but we’re still on the payroll
This is what you get, this is what you get
This is what you get, when you mess with us
And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
And for a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself
For a minute there, I lost myself, I lost myself

Funset - No Blame

this track reminds me about how amazing music is.  the best seven compilations are a sort of soul, reggae, and dub colaboration from groups all across the globe.  i’ve been listening to volume 2 on repeat for months now.  i’m sorry for depriving you all from hearing any of this album, but i could not decide what to post.  i’ll likely post one more track from the album, but after that… go buy it.
