Liars- Scissor
an unusual video for an unusual but engaging song.

Liars- Scissor

Damien Rice feat. Lisa Hannigan- Rootless Tree
lisa hannigan and some guy.
edit: i’ve decided to add a second video. this is 9 crimes from the same performance. i can’t decide which of these songs i like more. i don’t think you can lose, really. they both have wonderful voices that complement each other. so, enjoy today’s double rainbow.
Grizzly Bear- Two Weeks
i’m a sucker for harmonies.
Young Chris, Tom Hardy, & Freeway- Rap Money
these boys go in.
Midlake- Acts of Man
a little more melancholy than previous offerings, but good nonetheless.
The Unthanks- The Testimony of Patience Kershaw
this folk song is based on the testimony of patience kershaw, a 17 year old girl who worked in a coal mine in the 19th century. i believe she was interviewed during in investigation into work-related deaths of women and children in mills, mines, and other places of business. ms. kershaw described the struggles she and her family had. she couldn’t read or write, hadn’t been to school at all, if i remember correctly. instead, she and most of her siblings worked in poor conditions for poor wages. the song focuses more on the trials on the job and the toll it takes on her perception of herself. i really feel for this girl. i know it may be trivial (and incredibly corny), and it probably wouldn’t mean much to her, but if i’d met her, i would have told her she was beautiful.
Caetano Veloso- Cucurrucucu Paloma
probably my favorite part of habla con ella. absolutely gorgeous.
Curren$y feat. Stalley- Address
i’ve been listening to (and talking about) a lot of curren$y’s music lately. can’t go wrong with this one.
Little Dragon- Forever
yeah, it’s little dragon again. but since you can’t fight, there’s nothing you can do about it. tadow.
