Lianne La Havas- No Room for Doubt
if i saw her give me a come hither look from the other side of a raging river, i’m pretty sure i’d suddenly find i could walk on water.

Luther Ingram- I Don’t Want to be Right
always been one of my favorite songs. i hope someone told him the answer to his questions is ‘yes. very much, yes.’ by the way, keep an eye out for the michelle obama look-a-like somewhere around the 3 minute mark (3:15).

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black
Can anyone say instant classic? I still remember where I was and what I was doing when I just heard this song. It was spring semester 2007 and I was dog sitting. I was IMing my boy and he asked if I’d heard this new track by a british chick that BANGED. Well…needless to say half an hour later I was banging Back to Black over and over and over and the rest is history.
One of the best albums of ‘07.
I’m really mourning the fact that we won’t be privy to a follow up.

Amy Winehouse - Just Friends
This is the friends with benefits anthem. So easy and smooth and laid back, it was one of my favorite tracks on the album. A glass of wine, a warm evening and this in the background was (and still is) the makings of a great night.
Stay posted - the Amy Winehouse tribute continues every hour…

Amy Winehouse - He Can Only Hold Her
One thing I loved about Amy Winehouse was that her music was so honest. The reason so many people connected with this album was because we all believed everything she sang - we knew that she believed it and that it was real to her.
Great music.
*SIGH*
I’m getting sadder the more I think about it.
